Occording to an article Rebecca Lehmann wrote an estimated 250 million roses are grown for Valentine's Day every year and there is only 24 hours to deliver. Flowers must be planted and grown, well ahead of the February demand. Growers need 50-70 days to produce enough roses for Valentine's demand.
