The City of McAlester signed a proclamation naming Ocober 28 as Make A Difference Day. USA Today newspaper, The Points of Light Foundation and its affiliate volunteer centers and TEGNA, an innovative media and news company have joined to promote an annual national day of doing good that celebrates and strengthens the spirit of volunteer service. Volunteers are asked to donated at least 2 hours of free services and to dress for the occasion and bring tools and yard equipment if available.
